Rise of the Empress and Warrior's Revenge book cover illustrations
These pieces were created for the books "Rise of the Empress" and later, "Warrior's Revenge" by Kevin Z Lee, back in 2017. Having come to me after seeing my illustration "Taking it back".
The "Warrior's Revenge" cover stands out to me more than the "Rise of the Empress" one because the front page, I felt, had a greater impact, yet the back-half of the cover was less striking and more minimalist. I feel, as a standalone image, I wasn't impressed with myself, but the final product was everything I could hope for at the time.
