Monster silhouette Concept Sheets_5/8/2020

This was an experiment to produce concept silhouettes without relying on references or even a particular theme besides "monsters". Simply creating a blotch of dark and building off of it in random or semi-random shapes. Occasionally a specific idea would work its way into the silhouette but the goal was to produce a series of silhouettes that could serve as a starting point for a more developed concept.
I wasn't too afraid of producing a few garbage concepts here and there, as even terrible silhouettes could later lead to interesting ones.

First Sheet. Most of this looks like garbage to me but I considered it a warmup, and I could imagine some interesting monsters spawning from these shapes, so I decided to include it.

Second sheet. This one I allowed myself to produce larger items without worrying about space. Most of these I was tempted to start working into something more detailed but decided that was not the point of this exercise.

The last sheet in today's series. Same general idea as the previous sheet, only I allowed myself about 2-3 minutes to develop each concept, with the exception of #2 and #4 since they were very simple.

Pg1. Item 1.
Brief concept expansion from silhouette.
I wasn't too terribly excited about the second iteration so I decided to leave it there and move on.
