This is the first day of my attempt to practice producing concept art on paper within a constricted timeframe. This is already fairly challenging for me as I'm very accustomed to using Photoshop's line tools and grid to establish perspective on complex objects.
There will be (Are) many mistakes that I had to forego trying to fix in order to meet my time of 30 minutes per picture. I am not erasing anything, but rather drawing over my mistakes when possible.
In these sketches, I'm following a basic formula of sketching the general form with a charcoal pencil, then inking over it with a brush pen.
I am new to both of these utensils.
This is a 21.6x28cm soft-white micro perforated sketch book.
Disclaimer: I am NOT currently affiliated with Frontier Developments or the Elite: Dangerous team. This is purely for my own practice as I love the art style of Elite Dangerous, and the game as a concept.
